// STREAMLINE - HIGH TECH RACING FABRIC
Streamline is a high technology fabric which has been specifically designed for speed and not endurance. Streamline is knitted 87% Polyester / 13% Lycra and weighs 240 grams per square meter. Streamline is an advanced material that has been designed to reduce drag by its water repellent resin stripes. The resin stripes theoretically enhance how the fabric slides through the water. The Streamline fabric is sleek and smooth to touch and in this respect are very similar to traditional Lycra® fabric. Streamline is similar in appearance to Speedos Aquablade material.
// SPEEDLINE - CHLORINE RESISTANT FABRIC
Speedline is a chlorine resistant fabric which has been specifically designed for endurance. Speedline is knitted 45% Polyester / 55% PBT. PBT is simply a texturized polyester with natural stretch similar to spandex. The fabric has two-way stretch but has less stretch than tradtional Lycra swimsuits. The fabric has excellent chlorine resistance and is therefore a great choice for those people who spend hours training in chlorinated swimming pools. Speedline has a shiny appearance, is smooth to touch and slides through the water. While there is nothing technically slow about this swimsuit, the fabric is not considered to be ideal for racing.
// PACER - CHLORINE RESISTANT FABRIC
Maru's Pacer is a chlorine resistant fabric which has been specifically designed for endurance. Pacer is knitted 53% Polyester / 47% PBT. PBT is simply a texturized polyester with natural stretch similar to spandex. The fabric has two-way stretch but has less stretch than tradtional Lycra swimsuits. The fabric has excellent chlorine resistance and is therefore a great choice for those people who spend hours training in chlorinated swimming pools. While there is nothing technically slow about this swimsuit, the fabric is not considered to be ideal for racing.
// LYCRA & LYCRA BASED FABRIC
A number of the swimsuits are made from Lycra based fabrics. Lycra has a shiny appearence and is soft and smooth to touch. It has excellent stretch. Lycra is a popular choice amongst recreational swimmers who don't spend much time in the swimming pool. It is also popular amongst junior competitive swimmers and divers who are after a sleek, smooth swimsuit to compete in.
